What are "Powermoves"?

What are powermoves?

Powermoves are dance moves where the body performs the rotational spins, twists and jumps from one position to another using speed, momentum, strength and technique. They are seen as the flashy acrobatic and dynamic factors of Breaking which usually tends to easily capture attention. It is truely a beautiful artform in itself, connecting each movement with momentum using an incredible variety of shapes and forms the human body can possibly create.

A monthly Workshop dedicated to the progression of your basic Powermoves, the dynamic element of the Street dance style, Breaking (Breakdancing).

Working on the foundational steps, efficient strength & conditioning, exploring variety of techniques and more.

If you are a Dance/Movement Instructor, Competitive Breaker or generally interested in learning Powermoves then you may find this workshop insightful in your journey.

Increase your Movement Vocabulary with our Powermove Workshop taught by our experienced and knowledgeable instructors. Perfect for those starting out their journey to learning Power and also tailored for experienced and advanced level movers. Our workshop will be touching on: â€‹

  • Fundamentals Steps

  • Strength and Mobility Exercises to aid progress and enhance execution

  • Safe and efficient techniques to learning 

  • The progressive order of learning Powermoves​

Format

​​

  • 1 Instructor per 10 People (2 Instructors available at request)

  • Maximum 16 People per session

  • Single Sessions are 90 minutes 

  • Day workshop ( 5 hour incl. breaks and lunch)

  • Participants must be 8 years and above (Under 18s must have Parent or Guardian signed)

  • Workshop can take place at our location or your Facility

Consistent practise of the body weight exercise replicate similar day to day movements building core strength and balance. On top of that, repetition of these exercises also targets muscular and cardiovascular endurance allowing our body to do our day-to-day tasks for longer.
